Pre-diagnostic clinical screening on the basis of hand-held computer-technology

Summary:

A program designed for the HP41 CV hand-held, battery-powered computer-controller is discussed. The program, based upon the BIV (Biographical Inventory for the Detection of Behavioral Diaturbance) enables fully-automated, nonsupervised collection of anamnestic data. Designed to facilitate a considerable savings in clinical intake processing time, the program - incorporating technology of the Hewlett-Packard Interface Loop System - provides a convenient, standardized and relatively economical electronic data processing alternative to conventional computer-based psychometric assessment technology. A primary advantage of such technology lies in the fact that a partial diagnosis of a client's problem structure can be effected before in-vivo diagnosis, counseling or interviewing takes place - allowing for more efficient clinical and diagnostic operations.

[Diagnostisches Screening mittels Taschencomputer-Technologie. Ein HP-41CV Programm zur Auswertung eines biographische Fragebogens]

Zusammenfassung:

Es wird ein Programm für den Taschencomputer HP-41CV beschrieben. Das auf das BIV (Biographisches Inventar zur Diagnose von Verhaltensstörungen) ausgerichtete Programm ermöglicht eine vollautomatische Erhebung anamnestischer Daten und eine bequeme, standardisierte und ökonomische Auswertung sowie Darstellung der Daten. Als ein Hauptvorteil solcher Art von Programmen wird gesehn, daß mit der Anwendung dieser Technologie eine partielle diagnose der Problemstruktur von In-Vivo-diagnostischen Instrumenten durchgeführt werden kann, was im Falle von beratungs-, Beurteilungs- und ausleseprozessen zu effizienteren klinischen und diagnostischen Aktivitäten führt.
